Connectivity issues

Even the nicest and cleanest engine compartment has some spots that are a mess - at least when it comes to wireless transmission.

In some historic cars, alternator and ignition coil create areas in the engine compartment, where no reliable reception is possible. Swapping for modern components is out of the question so we just avoid their influence.

All Chaps form a mesh, meaning that if one Chap can't connect to the gateway, another Chap will relay. And as your reception may be different depending on the revolutions or turned on devices, this mesh constantly reconfigures itself. This is, of course, the more effective the more Chaps you have installed but we have a relay Chap, that will help you reach even the trickiest spot.
