The gateway is the central point of your wireless network.

Optically just a small black box, the Gateway is the central communication point of the Chaps network. All Chaps will transmit data to the Gateway and receive trigger messages from it.

The gateway collects data, takes a few measurements itself (like voltage and ambient temperature) and distributes them to the App and Gauges display units.

The gateway connects to your phone via Bluetooth o trigger alarms or display data. Of course, the gateway can be used without a phone only with gauges but for updating the gateways software a Bluetooth device is required.

Even though it complies with IP54 standards and is, therefore, water and dust resistant, we recommend placing it inside your car for a stable connection to your phone.
